MUSIC GIVES BACK
Experience music that moves your soul with a festival that gives back. River and Blues Fest is proud to be partnering with Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth (RMHFW). Ronald McDonald House is near and dear to this festival and the family of festival co-founder, Omar Ortiz. During the care of his grandson’s stay, he was able to call RMHFW his “home-away-from-home” and found comfort and compassion with this organization.
A portion of the concert’s proceeds, as well as $1 guaranteed from every ticket sold will go straight back to this beloved non-profit group. RMHFW has touched many lives beyond our city and we are honored to have RMHFW as a festival partner.
TIPS & TRICKS
The sound of a good time tends to get loud. First, don’t sit too close to the speakers at an outdoor concert. They’re designed to reach people hundreds of feet away, causing the sound to be overwhelming and sometimes distorted. If you’re close, we recommend using ear plugs to ensure you can keep enjoying all the great music. For children, we highly recommend noise reduction earmuffs.
Keep yourself and your belongings safe. Be aware of your surroundings, use the buddy system and watch out for your neighbors as well. If you lose or find something, please visit the festival info booth. If you see or hear something suspicious, illegal or dangerous, PLEASE say something to the nearest staff member, medical personnel or security staff.
We are asking that patrons be responsible regarding their level of risk to themselves and others. We encourage you to stay home if any of the following apply to you:
- You have pre-existing conditions, or are in a high-risk group.
- You are sick with COVID-19, think you have COVID-19 or are sick with any other illness.
- You encounter anyone who has tested positive within 14 days of the festival.
The safety of our guests, staff, vendors, volunteers and artists remain our number one priority. For more information on our COVID-19 protocol, visit our FAQ here.
We are constantly monitoring the weather, but that doesn’t mean we can control it. Keep an eye on the forecast and be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws our way. Texas in November could be 90 degrees or 40 degrees. Listen to all festival personnel to ensure your safety if inclement weather should arise.
The best thing you can do to ensure you enjoy the festival is to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. And don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun. Even November can be warm and bright, so pack sunscreen, hats and sunglasses to help keep cool.
If a patron has special dietary restrictions or prescription medication, small food items and medicine will be allowed onto the festival grounds if accompanied by a doctor’s note. All necessary medication and materials must be in the name of the ticket holder. Your ID must match the name on the medication label. Please dispose of any medical waste and syringes with our medical staff found on the festival grounds. Please do not dispose of them in the trash bins.
Enjoy yourself and have fun, but don’t forget to be considerate of other people. You can make the difference between a good or bad festival experience!
